Recaptcha failed when creating account
(Message 66174)
Posted 6 Oct 2022 by Tern Post: I'm seeing people on the BOINC Discord who are trying to create an account on CPDN but get a "ReCAPTCHA failed" message - I just tried to create a new account myself and had the same problem. |

Cannot get client app to use account
(Message 17596)
Posted 30 Nov 2005 by Tern Post: Wow is this confusing... Since you are logged in to the website... Go to \"Your Account\". Change the password to something meaningful. In BOINC Manager, \"attach to project\". If asked, tell it you are attaching to an EXISTING ACCOUNT (since you have already set it up on the website). Enter your email address and password. If you have NEVER COME TO THE WEBSITE and signed in after getting the email, you only came and registered to join the project (to initially get the Email with the account key) then it\'s a \"New\" account, and uses the account key, since there is no password to use yet. I\'ll agree the instructions are very unclear, but the process itself is quite simple. |

Web site attach instructions for Mac outdated
(Message 17485)
Posted 28 Nov 2005 by Tern Post: The web page http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/account_setup_nonfirst_done.php refers to the old Mac command-line BOINC Client, not BOINC Manager. Current Mac instructions should be the same as for Windows. |
