4.45 client idle for no apparent reason
(Message 14237)
Posted 9 Jul 2005 by old_user1179 Post: I awoke this morning to find my client idle all night for no reason. My system idle process was at 99%. No relevant error or warning messages were in the log. I shutdown the client, reopened it and it started running again like normal. This might be a bug with the new client, so be warned. |

How long to get 1 trickle on 500 MHz Celeron?
(Message 13512)
Posted 17 Jun 2005 by old_user1179 Post: I installed the classic client on a Pentium III 600 Mhz box a while back. It of course did trickle. I calculated that it would take over 1/2 a year for it complete one full model. So I assume a similar or longer amount of time for a Celeron of similar speed. I believe CPDN gives a full year to return a result. |

I almost tried something like that but thought it might screw up my results. Thanks for the info! |

Progress bar 4.19 not working

And it then download a new model and now has started calculating that model with the progress bar now *working*. |

Progress bar 4.19 not working
(Message 8385)
Posted 1 Feb 2005 by old_user1179 Post: I upgraded from 4.13 to 4.19 and now my progress bar says 0.0 and the CPU and time remain are stuck at the times they were when I upgraded. The client appears to crunching my model. The "graphics screen" globe view shows it doing timesteps. So it appears to be just a progress bar problem. I'm running AMD64 3200+ with Windows 2000 Pro (with most current SP). |
