3) Questions and Answers : Windows : New version reset my project (Message 22826) Posted 20 May 2006 by old_user113184 Post: i also upgraded to 5.4.9. of boinc but rather than losing my cpdn project it has just totally taken over all my other boinc projects i had boinc running between 10-14 projects at the same time but now boinc says that i am over commited and finished all projects in earliest order first and wont let me get any more till it thinks cpdn will finish on time cpdn has now been running constantly for over 2 days now and still no new work from other projects before the upgarade everything was running smoothly and i could upload w/u from all project whenever boinc needed to also my (very quick and probebly bad) maths says that unlike the 1961 hours till compleation my estimate is nearer 3400 present time 163 hrs =4.75% (call it 5%to make sums easier) times 163 by 4 =20%=652 hrs times 652 hrs by 5 =3260hrs crude but if my maths is anywhere near the mark then i will finish my w/u in 4.5 months of solid crunching not the 2.7 months cpdn predicts

Although these are relatively benign, it may be worth trying to reduce their frequency. might have been my problem time sync now disabled

One of the workunits on your computer is in danger of missing it\'s deadline, by processsing the workunit with the earliest deadline first the odds of meeting that deadline improve dramatically. If you are running a sulfur model you should upgrade to client 5.2.8 or later. The earlier 5.x.x clients were pretty stubborn when they overestimated the time to completion. This might give you enough slack to resume round-robin scheduling. ok thanks for the info just panicing as just started and didnt wasn it all to go wrong

You have two -5 exit codes and one 1073807364 exit code on the three failed work units. It\'s possible that the -5 codes are due to a hardware fault, but that is not for certain. What type of antivirus software are you running. You may want to try to exclude the BOINC folder and subfolders from AV scanning. Some AV software seems to have file contention problems with BOINC/CPDN file writes. i am using norton antivirus and zonealarm firewall have allowed access through zonealarm for boinc also have downloaded my first seti workload and it is working ok ???

For whatever reason, your two models failed.
