Hello i have one question. Im computing two projects CPDN and QMC. I want one core do only CPDN all the time and second core do the rest (now only QMC but in future maybe something more). What to do? Its this possible??

Use a coligation in taskmanager, and link processes to each processor unit/ użyj koligacji w managerze zadań i przypisz każdy proces do oddzielnego procesora.
wystarczy kliknąć PPM na wybranym procesie i wejść w \"ustaw koligację\"
pozdrawiam

You should make a backup of the whole BOINC folder. If you are currently using version 4.19 of BOINC or earlier you will then need to uninstall the old program using add/remove in Control Panel before you start installing the new OS. It is best to have BOINC somewhere other than the drive where you have your operating system files, so I recommend that you move the BOINC folder to the drive where you will want it in future.

When you have finished installing the new operating system, install the latest version of BOINC to the place where you have the existing BOINC folder. It should then continue where you left off. If something goes wrong, that is why you made a backup ;-)

I found other way,
like You said, I backup the BOINC files onto cd-rw, and then I installed new system on the other partition.
I did it to check new system at work, and now BOINC working under both of then, no metter, what I\'m doing.

hello
my problem is short
I have a P4 630 64-bit
it is runing on \"normal\" win XP. now I want to install the XP x64.
the problem is not in vesion of BOINC, but in it\'s work.
to install x64 win XP edition I need to boot from the CD, and it\'s a new installation, not the upgrade of existing system.
what with happend with BOINC work onto my computer???
could I save it somewere to backup then, or export it onto BOINC server & then take it again
even if I create a system backup with Norton ghost it will be a \"old\" system image, not for existing system.
have i really need to leave all the BOINC projects, and takes someone again?
could somebody help me with that problem?
thanks
tm
