Not much of an answer in that thread for me I am afraid. I run a Dell with an Intel P2 550 MHz processor. Windows 2000 Pro loaded from an MSDN Universal package (not the version shipped with the machine), patched with all the latest service packs and patches. McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 7.0.0 that haven't caused any problems for me in the past (I develop software for a living). I have tried with McAfee enabled and disabled to no avail. There are zero download problems. It takes about 90 seconds to download and start computing a set, and just a handful of seconds after that before I get a Visual Fortran run-time error (17) message.

I have tried to see if any messages are posted to the debug port by the software, but it is completely quite. I have however taken a snapshot of the DLL's loaded by the processes with version numbers, load-address, size and date stamps. Perhaps it will help some. If anyone wants them, let me know. For the moment I am detaching from the climateprediction project until you get your software straight enough to work without interrupting me with silly message boxes. Doesn't Visual Fortran support exceptions!?
