The phone app which had apple and Android versions for tropical cyclone modelling as well as a couple of medical research projects has closed a few days ago due to a "reduction in participant numbers". Whether the server supplying the app with work was responsible for the app continually crashing recently or not I have no idea.

The bottom line is the only distributed computing for climate work is now here at CPDN or over at World Community Grid where because of their own problems also don't have a continual supply of work.
