Really sad to see that there are no future plans for windows, when supposed to be the most spread pc running platform.

In the meantime, it is worth using either WSL or Virtual Box etc to install Ubuntu or other flavour of Linux so you can run the OIFS tasks till then. You would then have to install the Linux client in the guest OS.

Historically, during most of my time at CPDN there has been more Windows work than any other necessitating the use of WINE (Wine Is Not an Emulator!) to run them but the way things are going, that balance is changing till Glen and others have the time to do the work needed. At the moment the rate at which work is being released, the number of machines isn't a problem but given the gravity of the climate issues facing the world that could easily change.
