The project has now completed it's work on GDPR compliance. This has a number of effects:
- New users will only be able to create an account via the web site.
- Existing users will be asked to consent to the project terms and conditions next time they login to the web site.
- For all users there will be a new preference in the project preferences: 'Do you consent to exporting your data to BOINC statistics aggregation Web sites?'. By default this become 'No'. If you wish to continue to have your statistics exported to the BOINCstats site, you will need to logon to the website and go to and select the tick box.

Does that mean you will end the policy of renaming inactive users to "old_user12345" after this implementation (given we consent to the stats exports)?

I don't know if it's related to GDPR compliance, but I was trying to access my user account without success.
On the login page, after entering the password correctly, my browser opens the new page about Terms of Use.
After clicking on "I agree" the web server told me:
"Unable to handle request
You have not agreed to our terms of use. You may not continue until you do so."

This has always happened: whether I marked the cell "Do you agree to the terms of use above?" or did not marked the cell.

Solution was to check the cell "Keep me authenticated" (or something like) on the previous login page.
After that, the Terms of Use page is no longer displayed, so I can login as usual.

I encountered the same problem as xdarma.
But the workaround with the "Stay logged in" checkbox also helped me (thanks for the tip).
