Would it be possible to post when batches are closed because enough results are in for the researchers to work on?Or just abort the running tasks. This facility is available within Boinc. And no, it doesn't upset a user to have something cancelled, what upsets users is continuing to run something utterly pointless, using electricity which is contributing to the climate change you're trying to study. |

I was implying the EU had dictated that our weather must be warmer so they haven't wasted money on "carbon credit" schemes. We (Pakistan, South Asia) have had the warmest winter that I have seen in the past 65 years. It might become a record of sorts. Let us say, no winter at all. Just Autumn, Spring type temps. It's snowing here. The scientists obviously haven't told the clouds about the new regulations. |

And this thread is not about weather. If a conversation drifts (perfectly normal for the English language), where is the button I click to create a link to continue it over there? Make one and I'll use it. |

And this thread is not about weather. If a conversation drifts (perfectly normal for the English language), where is the button I click to create a link to continue it over there? Make one and I'll use it. The moderators can move posts, but only do that in extremis. If another thread were to be created then any comments in this thread could be easily shifted if requested, but it's more of a meandering conversation here at the moment. Upload failures is the topic of this thread, though, and people looking at the thread might well expect the conversation to be principally about that. |

I'm not OCD enough to agree with you on that, but still, next time something is drifted, I could just make a cafe post and link to it from here. If I remember. And this thread is not about weather. If a conversation drifts (perfectly normal for the English language), where is the button I click to create a link to continue it over there?
