I had a sas50, here, which failed with:
Signal 11 received

Except that I thought that message was on Linux systems, and this was on an old HP computer, running Windows 7.

Hi Les and Hi everyone,
I am posting in case my info might help.

I set my prefferences so that I carry no "stock piles"
and use 85% of availale CPU's
so that every Climate Prediction task you see,
stated crunching the moment my computer recieved it from server.

I had a wah2_eu25 here, which failed with: Signal 11 received.

I'm running Windows 10 Professional x64 Edition, (10.00.10586.00)
BOINC client version 7.6.22

i have two computers, both same OS and BOINC client version 7.6.22

first one Computer ID 1364207- client version 7.6.22, runs only Climate Prediction.
second one Computer 7784986- runs only SETI@home.

about three days ago, Both computers rebooted at the same time with same event log message:

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.
This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

I din't notice any power outage, but i suspect a Brown out?
anyway i was supprised i lost only one Climeate Prediction task that day,
out 14 that were crunching, at the time.
I set prefferences so that I carry no "stock piles"
and use 85% of availale CPU's

I hope the helps.

Oops sorry: Edit to my post # 54578 for spelling and 34 tasks crunching:

so that should read:

when both of my computers rebooted at the same time due to power failure 3 days ago,
and I had to restart BOINC,
i was surprised to see that I had lost only one Climate Prediction task that day,
out 34 that were crunching, at the time.

since March of 2016,
I have set my preferences so that I carry no "stock piles"
and I set my preferences to use 85% of availble CPU's
so that every one of the,
34 task you see in progress
stated crunching the moment,
my computer received them from the Climate server.
that way i can return the Climate Prediction tasks,
to the Scientists as soon as possible

actually, I did this from a suggestion in a - post - that Les made 7 months ago,

thank you Les.

I hope the helps.

Hi Byron

This is really about the type of error message.
Signal 11 is supposed to be something that you only get on Linux systems, and I got it on a Windows system. On Windows, the error message is different.
