My credits are back. Raised +77,000 rank too. Largest out of any project lol.
Looks like they are propagating again. Everyone who is missing should be happy soon.

Whoops! My total credits went to ZERO. :-( ... I guess I'll be waiting for a big rebound! :-)

One oddity. I think that all the lost credits (about 500K) seem to be from only 1 of my 3 machines. Computer 1301249. The other 2 machines seem to have recovered.

Hi Jim

Based on what Andy said, making a guess: The computer with the missing credits is the oldest.

I've had so many computers over the years, and now the move from Windows to Linux, followed by moving to Wine-Windows, that I no longer know which computer ID belongs to which physical computer.
I've only managed to match 2 computers to sets of credits, and they seem to be OK. Or at least what is said to be their total is what's on the server for that ID. I'm not going to add up individual model credits to check.

And I've become reluctant to say any more about what may or may not be happening at Oxford, because it's only ending up as bad news a few hours later.

Your right. It is my oldest and slowest machine. It has been crunching on CPDN for 6 or 7 years now.

Ah Good.
This ties in with what Andy said:
I think this is the older (pre-2011) credit that is missing.
I'll send another email.

Hi Les,
it seems some scripts may have been failing again (or are stopped for debugging) as no new credits were added yesterday.

In case it helps: According to my Pending Credit page I'm missing credit for more than one machine that isn't currently processing for CPDN. It seems to be mainly 2012/2013 submissions, but I see that there's also at least one 2015 submission too.

I'll carry on crunching regardless of how long it takes to resolve the credits issue, as the contribution towards the science is my main reason for participating. Even better that on a nice sunny day like today all of my crunching is solar powered.

Fed up with credit fiasco. Wont download any more CPDN work units. Giving my other projects the time and resources after current work unit finishes.

I am back up to normal as of yesterday. It was disconcerting, but not permanent.

My negative credit seems to be in Seti@home and Climateprediction.net It happened in the past around March 15 and I didn't see any of my credits returned.

I was running and continue to run 6 CPDN tasks.
I am waiting - somewhat impatiently - for the problems to be fixed. We have had problems in the past and they were fixed, so I am confident that these will be.

If you are frustrated by the hardware problems, see: Donations at http://www.climateprediction.net/about/donations/
These could be used to assist us in purchasing new hardware or upgrading or maintaining our current servers. For example, disks and power supplies are required from time to time as these components fail and we have a continuing need to expand our storage facilities to hold the data that are being continuously generated by participants.

Gosh -- so if I tell you what my credits really were before the apparent credit ponzi schemes occurred can I get them back? <smile>

My actual credit number is 11,562,537

When I see this as a corrected number, I'll probably restart processing for Climate.

Until then, Rosetta and Poem and World Grid thank the folks at Climate for their largess.

Just a small fish compared to some. I lost a minor amount a few days ago, and then quite a bunch yesterday or the day before. Maybe not quite 50% in total.

Just providing data, not complaining.

Someone had noticed losses to Seti, I looked and I don't see anything similar. It's just ClimatePrediction.

Do any of you need the heat in the winter? I live where the Alaska Highway begins, we get a real winter. Well, not this year. We mostly had 3 snowfalls all winter, and 2 of those were in the last month or so. I think we are going to be water rationing big time this summer.

The computers crunching on BOINC, are in my bedroom. The heat isn't bad, but one of the fans is going to die at some point. I'm starting to get used to the noisy fan. I'll build a fan controller with a fancy Maxim chip to fix that machine soonish, and put in a couple of microphones to monitor sound as well as temperature.

Has there been any consideration of Creating a Campaign at http://www.bitcoinutopia.net
