Why every time I turn on my computer does climateprediction lose all work done? It always starts from 0%. Should I keep my pc working more than a fixed time to make it save the work done?

Short answer is, "yes" but I am not sure how long you need to be running for to avoid this, probably different depending on model type.
One way round this is to set your computer to hibernate when you turn it off so that the contents of memory is saved to disk when you turn off

Might be worth going to preferences page and un-selecting the HADAMC33N type of model as these are much longer than the others and also, tend to crash if computer is stopped, causing you to have to download a new model.

There are checkpoints in there somewhere, but they are spaced kind of far apart. Due to the long computation times, CPDN is not really optimal for hosts that are shut down/restarted frequently.

Kann man durch Einstellungen am Boinc Manager dafr sorgen, dass die geleistete Arbeit beim Beenden gesichert wird? Ich lasse Boinc auf einem Laptop laufen welches ich nur wenige Stunden am Tag laufen lasse.

Is it possible to ensure that the work done is saved when you exit through settings on the Boinc Manager? I'll run Boinc on a laptop which I am running only a few hours a day.

Work is only saved at checkpoints, which, for some models, may be a long way apart.

This project isn't really suitable for computers that don't get run for very long each time, as then the researchers won't get their results back in a timely fashion.
