I�m experimenting to see what my new little motherboard can do and when I did a reinstall I forgot to abort a running WU. Is there any way to abort it now? It feels wasteful to wait until March 2015 for it to be reissued.

Unfortunately not. If you have a backup or an old virtual machine snapshot then it's possible to run it again or abort it, but there are no user facilities here to manage jobs, nor do the project team do anything about individual jobs. CPDN is about large ensembles of models and there's absolutely no expectation that every model will finish: the analysis is purely statistical.
