Separate issue, which I'm hoping will get fixed first.

Confirmed. Mine appeared as well dated 30th. Current trickles on hold (until tomorrow) I guess/hope because of the maintenance that is currently taking place according to this news

Confirmed. Possibly a side effect of the software update? I've had 'network activity suspended' for the last few days as I thought there may be a few issues. Suspended again until we hear things are better - as we always do :-)

I did see that uploader2 was working until yesterday and uploader4 was off. Now it seems to be the other way around. Maybe they're moving files off to make room.

It took almost a week for me to upload everything. I just left it alone with network enabled.

It appears to be 'catch as catch can'. I have cleared machines and others with tasks in various states of distress (some of which is possibly owed to competition among the plethora of new large-to-huge upload files).

The age-old bit about 'patience' applies. Probably.

I am becoming concerned. For the last 2 day I have had zip file _mex25_c0qk_199412_13_410_010609432_0_8.zip stuck in the transfer tab. It has been sitting at 62.2% upload since yesterday. Is there anyway to shake it loose, and if not does it pay to continue to run the task to completion without 8.zip. Other zip files are going up line.

Hi Jim

Me too.
I've been told that all's well a couple of times now, the last time about 3 hours ago. :(

Maybe we should meet up at a virtual pub and get virtually drunk with our virtual credits.
Actually, I've probably got enough credits to buy the pub. :)

Still night time here; I'll have a think about it in a few more hours.

Me three.

A few 'mex' files stopped after partial upload. A couple more fail to start.

Intermittent problems with 'sas' uploads/downloads, too.

The servers may be "on line" but if they aren't paying attention ... Oh well, these things clear. Eventually.

Ha! Got it!
It's not us, it's them.

Somewhere there's a bit of hardware with old software, and, because it needs to be common to all of us, it's probably in Mexico.

Copy the following with Notepad, and save it into the BOINC folder as cc_config.xml

<cc_config>
<log_flags>
</log_flags>
<options>
<http_1_0>1</http_1_0>
</options>
</cc_config>

Then use the BOINC Menu item to Read the config files.
After that the Mex files should upload.
They just have for me.

Didn't work for me, the only way i can get files to complete uploading is if there are a bunch pending and i hit retry on all of them at once, it will upload until one finishes then they all stop.

When I tried to save it as cc_config.xml: notepad informed me that cc_config.xml: is not a valid file title. File titles can't have ":" in them.

Hi Jim

The ":" is part of the sentence, not part of the file name.
So many things to think of :(
I've now removed it.

Finrond

It's possible you'll also have to add the option to only send one file at a time.
BOINC doesn't like it when there are too many that have been waiting for a while to send.

Hi Les..what is the command/line in the cc_config.xml file to only send one file at a time?

Sorry...found it -- it's:

<max_file_xfers>1</max_file_xfers>

correct?
