And if credits is your only reason for contributing to the project, there are other projects which give you more credit/hour of computing time. |

credit points indicates your devotion to cause of completing projects. Les Bayliss has 7,117,794 points and you mr.dave jackson have got 324,610 points. These points are not any money but indicates your devotion to any particular or may be to other boinic projects over a period of time. I have completed most climatepredictions projects which are very long and was supposed to be completed by 2013 april and afterwards. If I will be getting these credits of 18000 when that particular programmes were supossed to complete in april 2013 onwards then no problem , I will wait for one year for credit points. But can anyone inform me about same. IF I am runing the programmes in new pc does it mean i should be denied points generated from my old pc. This is not for points but these points indiactes my feelings about various projects I have done. Why give points in first place then if points are not important ,you can only mention how much hours the concerned person has devoted his pc to a cause. thank you |

Les answered your repetitious credit-question. You get full credit for work done every time a Trickle is uploaded; in CPDN, you need not wait until the Task ends or, worse, as in many other Projects, until someone else completes an identical Task for comparison. Re. your threat in the first post in this thread, you will NOT get "Pending" credits because they are NOT earned credits in CPDN. They are, for CPDN, simply meaningless numbers in boinc's accounting, filling a void in BOINC's template. CPDN does NOT use boinc's credit system. (CPDN completely recomputes everyone's credit each day or two. Repeat: You receive full credit for work done to that point every time you upload a Trickle. You have no missing credits. Answered comprehensively here. As astroWX said, posts should be be kept to a single thread. "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |
