Now that the faster machines, and some of the not so fast ones like mine, are finishing the hadcm3n_xxxx_1980s I was just wondering if there are any new projects in the works.

Hi Jim,

just check the "Server Status" page in the blue bar to the left.

There are (or there were) some new Regional models. Check your model preferences in "Your account" if you're not getting any.

Thanks, but, I know about the Hadam3p that are available. I got 2 of them yesterday. What I was wondering about is if there are any really new types of WUs in the pipeline?

Sorry, Jim, I misunderstood. I don't know, then.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your query. There are a number of experiments/projects being developed currently. The first is an extension to the number of Weather At Home regions, the second is the use of the HadCM3N model to examine the effect of historical forcings and the third is the examination of the effect of sea surface temperature perturbations using the HadAM3P model. We are hoping to release these in the next few months, in the meantime we still have plenty of Weather At Home and HadCM3N models that will need computing.

Thanks,

Andy
