Here's a new one for you. I'm crunching a task, but it's not on my list of tasks in progress. It's like the website has no knowledge of this task.

How can I found out what workunit number this task is running on?

My host ID is: 1087841
Task is named: hadcm3n_u7bv_1980_40_007460072_2
Received on: 09/24/2011 11:21am
Task deadline: 12/24/2011 06:52pm

(Not sure about the timezone, might be EST or GMT.)

I have the same thing happening here too. I have 2 tasks in my Boinc running, but they are not listed on the computer page on the website.

Ditto. Downloaded on Friday (23rd), I think. I've been waiting to see if the anomaly would be "fixed on Monday", but it doesn't appear to have been.

The task has sent back two trickles so far with no sign of surprise from the server. It may even have picked up some credit for the first one, but I'm not sure.

This has now been passed on. The WU definitions appear to be missing as well: see hadcm3n_u4zs_1980_40_007459297_2, for example.

Finding the WU number is practically impossible. The results seem not to be issued in time order and the re-submission scheme used to chain together 40-year chunks breaks up the original letter sequence entirely (e.g. u4zs, u4zt etc.).

Isn't that just a result of the missing update scripts that are currently disabled?

The result status does not show either, I do have a successful one that I have reported (status is correct on the result page) but in all of the lists it still shows as "in progress" - plus a fresh one on the same host that doesn't show at all (yet).

I don't think that there is a reason to be worried, just keep crunching :-)

I think you may be right. I just started up a crunching PC yesterday for the Fall, and it downloaded 4 tasks, none of which are showing in the task list for that PC.

OK, I have the same problem, just didn't see that the problem was already discussed.

My detailed problem description is listed here:

http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=7292

It involves the running task with name "hadam3p_eu_2rey_1998_1_007461492_0"
and the yet to start task with name "hadam3p_eu_2qdx_1993_1_007461494_0"

What to do, especially with the first task that I have halted now at about 10%:
continue/remain halted/cancel?

I think that the missing data may be related to the export data not showing up on BOINCstats. i.e. Several scripts not running.

Please continue to crunch. We ARE looking into the problem.

Sorry about this, it is due to our backup database having got out of sync with the main database.

The backup database has been handling read-only requests from this website, to take the strain off the main database. Unfortunately it seems that this has caused it to be unable to cope with keeping up to date :-(

I have now reverted to using the main database for this site, so things should be back to normal.

OK, thanks, problem basically solved. I decided to continue the first task and it works just fine.

One thing however went missing: I am running task 13418020 that created three trickles up till now. However scoring of the first trickle seems to be missing: As I see, there are roughly 200 points (credits) awarded per trickle with those EU-Tasks. Therefore I should have received roughly 600 points for three trickles. I seem to have gotten credits for the two trickles that I delivered Sep. 28. But it seems I did not get the points for the first trickle uploaded at Sep. 27 at the time of the error.

May somebody have a look at it? Thanks!

This project is different to others in many ways. One of them is that credit isn't immediate. There are programs that run once per day that convert trickles to credits, update user pages, etc.

What has most likely happened, is that your pages are showing credit from the first 2 trickles, but not, as yet, from the third.

Ok, thanks!

Thing is, scoring went up exactly at the time I uploaded trickles two and later three, so I assumed scoring went missing at trickle one.

Let's hope for the best! ;)

You (most likely) are right.

Everything on par right now. Four trickles, about 800p. equals four scores.

Case closed. Thanks a lot!
