Hj,

For some time now I've been getting a "No work sent" message together with "UK Met Office HADAM3P... not available for your type of computer" - so all is lying idle at the moment.

I'm running the BOINC software on a Mac with an Intel 3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo processor - OSX 10.6.6.

Is there nothing to run or do I have a compatibility problem.

Thanks in advance
David Roberts

For awhile now, the only model type available for the Mac (and Linux) has been FAMOUS. Very few FAMOUS work units have been released in the past few weeks, so Mac and Linux PCs are often starving for work, or running models on fewer cores than desirable. I'm not sure this is going to change in the near future as the IT side of the project is currently even more poorly staffed than usual. Perhaps in a month or two, new IT people will be spun up and additional models will be released for all platforms, maybe.

Thanks for the reply.

Just after I'd posted this thread I discovered another related to the same subject.

I'd actually had some FAMOUS instances run successfully which was why I was puzzled.

What I've been doing in the meantime is to dual boot my Mac with Windows (XP to be on the safe side) and run instances there.

If anyone wants to try this and has any questions, I'm only too happy to try and help.

The weatherathome applications (HADAM3P regional - EU/PNW/SAF) are now available on all platforms - i.e. Windows, Mac and Linux.
