I ran out of CPDN work and can't get any more. It isn't a problem for me, since I crunch for three other projects. Just thought someone there might like to know.

There is no work for Linux either.

The Mac and Linux version of hadam3p 6.08 came late and have some old problems on the Beta site.
Hadam3p is sponsored by microsoft .... ;-)

I am out of tasks and am quitting CPDN.
Would not be so bad if it were not for all the calculation errors.
Very disappointed, but enough is enough.
May look back in a few months time to see if things have improved.

There are new application versions and model types in the pipeline: when they're debugged they'll be released here - and are currently being developed for all platforms.

Thanks for your efforts thus far and hope to see you back when the range of applications is back at full strength.

This is a poor show. My current task ended normally a couple of days ago; if it was possible to run that, why is it impossible to run a new one?

We're here because we want to contribute to the most important issue of our time, dealing with climate change.

This is your completion (read: crash) of a few days ago: famous_ve6y_1799_200_006704160_6
It crashed because of extreme values being tested; pushing the limits is part of the investigation.

There are currently no FAMOUS tasks available (see server status -- link in blue on the left).

Tasks for MAC are in Beta test. If you've been reading the Boards, you will have long been aware of staff issues which plague the project, issues which delay implementation of the lengthening list of new work. Hang in there. It will come.

A subscription to the News Thread should prove be useful.

Chris

It's not possible to run "new ones" because there aren't any for Macs at present.
They're still in beta testing.

See the Server status in the blue menu to the left for what's available, and Applications higher up for what's available for different OSs.

Most of the research being done isn't to do with climate change as such. It's to better understand how climate and weather work.
A lot of this, therefore, is research into what what past weather/climate did to past environments.

Watch the News and Announcements thread at the top of Number crunching for news on new model availability.
This thread can be subscribed to, and you'll then get an email when there's a new post.

edit
Beaten to it. :)

The weatherathome applications (HADAM3P regional - EU/PNW/SAF) are now available on all platforms - i.e. Windows, Mac and Linux.

See here.
