My BOINC has downloaded all the files needed to run an HADAM3P workunit except for one file which stubbornly refuses to download.

Is there a \"secret\" folder from which I can download this file manually?

The file required is hadam3p_graphics_6.14_i686-pc-linux-gnu

You should be able to download the file from here (I\'ve just done that using Firefox on XP), then you\'ll need to:

    *stop BOINC
*copy the file to {your BOINC data directory}/projects/climateprediction.net
    *check file ownership/permissions
*delete any record of a partial download in client_state.xml (search for the file name, if there are <persistent_file_xfer> and/or <file_xfer> blocks inside the same <file_info> section delete them)
    *restart BOINC

Thank you for your help, but as it happened, sometime later the stuck file finished downloading on its own, so I didn\'t need to download it manually after all.
Hopefully others may find your link useful.
