If say I have 256 megs of memory and the min to run CPDN is 128 megs, and I have XP taking up X amount and a couple of other running processes that take up X amount and I have 90 megs left will CPDN run?

When Asking for help, please post the following;
Type of PC
How much memory
Type of Operating System
Type of connection to Internet
Projects You are Running
Version of BOINC

No expert so I could be wrong

First I'll assume you mean 256 Megs of RAM (not hard disk, just in case it's not the same in English)
Well then I think Xp will find enough to put in the swap file so that CPDN can have the 128 Megs it wants, but the best way is maybe to try it

but in any case there will be a lot of swapping going on if all the processes need their cpu time.

Sorry I always leave something out , I mean RAM lolol
It just seems that if the RAM was low it would cause more problems when it hit the HD swap file, maybe on older drives the heart beat function may be delayed thus causeing the WUWU or BOINC to stop processing. JUST A WILD GUESS ON MY PART......
