Can anyone help or do I give up/disconnect and continue with the other projects I`m running only,I do know that my % for this is only 10% but the other projects get more than there time allocated as I just leave them all running ?

The only model type that is available right now is hadsm3. You may have your climateprediction.net preferences set to only download a certain other type of model that is not currently available. There is a news post about it here.

Note that the work request was for GPU work - that\'s for a NVidia or ATI graphics card.

CPDN doesn\'t have any applications to run on graphics cards - the workload involved in re-writing them, and the sheer amount of data to be handled, would be prohibitive.

That may indeed be true, but the only model that PC has ever run is hadam3p. There are no hadam3p models available anymore. I\'m thinking if he changes his preferences to hadsm3, he will get new work.

It appears that I have the same problem for the past several days. I also have all types of work selected but still receive no new work.

I stand corrected. George\'s PC had a couple hadsm3mh and a hadsm3. I\'m not sure what\'s going on. I\'ve had three PCs download some hadsm3 models in the last couple days, but then I have them only connected to cpdn.

Their results show that George and Tim\'s hosts are both running BOINC 6.6.36 and (from their linked S@H accounts) both systems have a GPU card. My guess is that they both have a CPDN long term debt > 86400 seconds (1 day), in which case CPDN can\'t fetch any CPU tasks. That doesn\'t prevent BOINC from trying to fetch GPU work for CPDN (in case the project has added a GPU application, which it hasn\'t and isn\'t planning to do). If long term debt isn\'t the problem they could be hitting one of the CPU work fetch problems known to be in 6.6.36.

But what\'s it asking for? If it wants GPU work, it\'ll never get any from CPDN.

Open the Advanced view in BOINC Manager, select the Projects tab, highlight CPDN, and click the \'Properties\' button (last button in upper group). Look under \'Scheduling\' at the second line: \"CPU work fetch priority\". That\'s the long-term debt Thyme Lawn was talking about. If it\'s below -86,400 BOINC won\'t request new work unless all your other projects have run dry. It\'ll slowly creep back upwards towards zero, and as it crosses the -86,400 line, you should see work requested again. You can help it along by adjusting Resource Share, suspending other projects, and waiting.

Thanks for the reply did as you said and by the look my wait is going to be a very long one as it shows nearly -500000 as the work fetch priority, though why its so high dont know as havent been connected to other projects nearly as long.Still will keep going with project rather than leave as I was thinking of doing now I know reason, thanks again for help!

Are there projects that support ATI cards now??

I believe there might be a couple - Collatz and Milkyway are most often mentioned - but I think it\'s all pretty experimental. Check their websites for the current state of play.

You would certainly need a BOINC v6.10.xx client to use ATI properly. I\'m currently running v6.10.13, without detriment to CPDN [beta, in my case]: there are later versions, but v.15/v.16 have a failed attempt to solve a multi-threading problem, so are to be avoided if you run a multi-threaded application like AQUA - but for no other reason that I\'m aware of.

\"Testing\" being the operative word.

There\'s no project development on that front: one of the volunteer developers from the collective behind the \'optimised\' third-party applications is giving it a go, and if he\'s successful it might be taken up by the project as an official application. But it\'s far from ready yet, and a long way sub-optimal.
