I crunched successfully 18 MidHolocene WUs, and according to the server status page there are tons of them available:
HADSM3-MH Results ready to send 94,698

But my BOINC tells me:
Do 13 Aug 2009 17:54:16 CEST|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 21368 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
Do 13 Aug 2009 17:54:21 CEST|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
Do 13 Aug 2009 17:54:21 CEST|climateprediction.net|Message from server: No work sent
Do 13 Aug 2009 17:54:21 CEST|climateprediction.net|Message from server: UK Met Office HADSM3 Mid-Holocene is not available for your type of computer.
Do 13 Aug 2009 17:54:21 CEST|climateprediction.net|Message from server: No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your settings on the web site.

Why am I suddenly not suitable any more?
I\'ve looked a former results and there was no homogeneous redundancy activated, my wingmen were from all OS-types.

The Applications Page shows no Mid-Holocene app available for Linux. I don\'t know why but we\'ll ask the programmers.

If I go to my project preferences it\'s still stated that MidHol is available for Linux, as it was for the past year:
Application UK Met Office HADSM3 Mid-Holocene
Prefer this type of model Selected
Duration 60 model years
Estimated WU Completion Time
@ 2.5 Seconds/Timestep computational average 30 days
Supported Platforms Windows, Intel Mac & Linux

Edit:
The estimate for my computer is 0.55 Seconds/Timestep

The bigger question:
Will all the models previously available (before the server upgrade) be available in the near future? I think many of us (at least me) were expecting a transparent upgrade, not a database migration (to new hardware).

sorry, the server upgrade has been more traumatic than we all thought; plus it was in the middle of the facebook app being launched so 4-5K new participants were downloading big 120MB hadam3p workunits etc.

I hope we\'ll have new models soon, such as the regional modelling experiment, and the new coupled-model experiment I\'m working on for the IPCC AR5 (which is why I came back to Oxford - not just to wreck everyone\'s credits!)

No problem, congratz to the new crunchers, I hope they will stay quite some time.

But why have you ditched just the Linux version of Mid-Holocene and kept the Windows and Apple? Roundabout 95K WUs available, but my machine gets none of them.

Thanks for all the hard work, Carl.

Unfortunately, I\'m stuck with bad circumstances with regards to this project.

1. HadAM3P models don\'t finish properly (misses last trickle and final zip). This is due to the \"unable to load library\" bug posted in this thread. MacOS also affected. What\'s the point of running these models if I know they will not finish properly?
2. HadSM3MH models don\'t have an executable for Linux right now.
3. There are no more models types available.

But by all means, enjoy your weekend; it\'s well deserved. Hopefully, things will settle down by Monday, and one of these factors will be taken care of by next week. Then, I\'ll be able to accept new work for CPDN.

We\'ve passed on detailed info about all of this to the programmers. I believe the \'unable to load library\' problem is solved in the current HadAM3P for Mac. But not the final trickle thing.

I\'m hoping there\'ll be a Mid-Holocene version for Linux on Friday.

I\'ve received a WU, Linux is in the list again, everything\'s fine now :D
