I accidentally listed a computer that hadn't downloaded a model for two weeks. While I was editing my post to delete it from the list Milo at lightning speed minussed them all. So that computer is probably minussed but not listed in my last post. I don't think this is a big problem.

Some computers have become unminussed again. Milo has found a CPDN script item added some time ago to the Boinc server code that may have allowed this unminussing to happen. He has disabled this item. If the following computers remain minussed after Milo minusses them again now it will mean he has found and corrected the cause of this annoying problem.

I was about to report a new group but checked the quota of the last group first. Bad news. They've all reverted to a + quota again except the third from the end, 888975.

Yes, computer 977058 is among the worst offenders though 1016744 is an even bigger shocker.

However, now that Milo's left CPDN and can only be called back from his new job for urgent problems I don't think there's anything we can do atm about these hopeless computers and their uncommunicative owners. If you click on the links in my post of 10 Nov above, you'll see that although Milo minussed these computers the server's Boinc version later undid his minussing script in every case except one.

If a computer is minussed the daily quota says -1. -1 is the only true number this Boinc server version is capable of displaying ie the only number that can be believed.

Milo spent some time a while ago on this problem and thought he had beaten Boinc into obedience, but this server version has disobeyed his script again. The only part of the script that works is the sending of the email which many people don't understand or ignore.

To have minussing working again Milo's successor will need to have become familiar with the software and I think CPDN will need to have installed a new Boinc server version. The fact that the current version can't even show sensible members the daily task quota for their computers is in my view sufficient reason to get rid of it.

So I'm afraid we can't report computers wasting multiple models at the moment.

Your second link is to a computer on the farm where every animal is identically malformed and has created havoc. Like a herd of woolly mammoths. The farmer must have received at least 6 emails at the times when other computers on the farm were minussed but has done nothing.
