Hello! In my results list I have a two results: 8211749 8199633 with \'Client detached\' status. and another two results: 8205640 8217073 with \'In progress\' state. All WU\'s referenses on host 927987, but it is not right. In Nov. 25th I installed a \'clear\' BOINC on my host and take two CPDN-tasks. Now this tasks processed on another computer. In Dec. 2th I installed on my computer new BOINC instance, take next two task and move it on third computer. Now all four task \'works\' on two different computers. But project \'think\' that this tasks from one host... Thank you! |

While it IS possible to move models from one computer to another and have them continue OK, they are \'registered\' on the server with the computer to which they were issued, which results in some confusion on the server. Best to just accept where ever they are. Backups: Here |

And the same problem. I have a two BOINC-hosts, with different <host_cpid> in client_state.xml, but with units, that requested from one physical host. When second host gets a 4 tasks, other 4 tasks of first BOINC-host became noted as "Client detached". Today (about 2 hours back), first host succesfully reported all 4 tasks as a completed task. (Taks reported from physical host, that get its). But results state does not changed! My computaions is lost... My Tasks. |

And the same problem. Once a task is marked as 'client detached' the task result page will no longer update. However, you can continue to run the models to completion - it's the uploaded Zip files that the project uses for its scientific analysis. To sort the problem out, the easiest thing would be to: 1. Make sure BOINC Manager won't request new tasks by pressing the button in the projects tab. 2. Run any existing models in BOINC Manager to completion. 3. Uninstall BOINC. 4. Delete all BOINC folders on the machine. 5. Re-install BOINC. 6. Merge the new computer into the relevent old one on the CPDN Web page for that computer. And do the same for the other computer. |
