Looks like one of the problematic or relocated servers was the one hosting the database and message boards.

So the project was seemingly totally offline for about 36 hours. I hadn\'t seen any comment specific to this and so I guess I\'m the first to note this.

As well as the server we knew was down until today Monday, another went down unexpectedly during the weekend taking the website and this forum with it. This was announced as soon as we knew for sure in the News threads of SAP, BBC, Beta, server status thread of boinc_dev, and the independent CPDN forum. If ever this forum is down, the place to look (and if necessary post) is the independent forum. It\'s hosted separately at the Open Uni in Milton Keynes so even if the whole of Oxford Uni is cut off by its regional network we can still communicate.

I tried to get into the independent forum at one stage yesterday as I couldn\'t get into my usual account page but it kept timing out, so I assumed that it had gone down as well. I didn\'t realise that it was hosted by the OU.

The Open Uni were heavily involved in CPDN at the beginning and ran the course in climatology. But that course is now over and Milo would really prefer to move the independent forum from Milton Keynes to Oxford where he\'d have more control.

I know some CPDN members think it\'s a nuisance to register on an extra separate forum that isn\'t part of BOINC, but in emergencies like this last weekend it\'s an indispensable lifeline.

OK -- you mentioned that board to me before -- I had neglected to bookmark it -- I\'ve done that now.

My apologies for the misdirected post.
