Ah thanks for the confirmation.... Better than arthritic denouncements any day. Yes, we have a mod/admin thread where we flag up and discuss server problems. It\'s a riveting read, full of dramas and crises with Milo invariably delivering a cathartic and triumphant dénouement. So far. |

Milo\'s dealing with the CPDN credit-calculating script. He\'s isolated one problem but there may be more. There also seems to be a separate problem with the transfer of Beta credits to CPDN accounts. So for the next few days there will be delays in the reporting of our credits on the stats sites. Has this credit thing been addressed? I have, after a long break, restarted Climate but I am confused with the \'trickles\' I have returned. As I understand it each trickle is worth a set amount of points. If this is the case I am wondering why, after 5 trickles on one computer I have been granted just 94.518 points (one trickle) and on the second computer I have sent in three trickles and have no points credited to me? It has been two days so I thought something should show by now. At this stage I am assuming that there are still some problems from late last month, but nothing seems to be stated about it. Thanks, Conan. |

The daily credit run happened sometime in the last half-hour (since your post) - it seems to have moved to slightly later in the day just recently. Check and see if your trickles/credits are up-to-date now: if not, post again with details of the individual models affected (links to the task details on this website), and someone can look at the problem with you. |

We also need to remember that the number of credits awarded per trickle varies according to the model type. For example, each HADCM trickle earns 311 credits, but HADAM, HADSM and HADSM MH trickles earn fewer because they happen more frequently and represent less crunching time. Les says the CPDN server is often rather dysfunctional at about 8am UK time (two hours ago). While it does the daily stats run it often has a hard time handling everything else simultaneously. This CPDN website including the forum may become temporarily unavailable, and I wouldn\'t be surprised if trickles uploaded around that time are often delayed in their appearance on models\' web pages. And now parts of Oxford have lost power, and some of our servers are down. See the News thread. |

Thanks for the responses, all now appears to be OK. I made the assumption that the trickles would be awarded almost straight away. But alas I was a bit off. As I said it has been since April last year since I ran this project so I am a bit rusty in regards to the workings of the project. Thanks again for the responses and I will be more patient. Conan. |

It seems that the announcement posted over 24 hours ago: \"The CPDN and Beta servers are all working properly again. Beta members\' credits are now being transferred to CPDN and exported to the stats sites. \" is not quite the case. That is, we are now going past day three of trickles and credits not posting. I am sure that, as in the past, this will be resolved and we will each see once large \'clump\' of updated credits and trickles, but it seems like there may be some other fix or switch which has yet to happen. |

BarryAZ, Webbie, Your posts sent me to Boinc Synergy/CPDN stats. There are no entries for 11/13/16 March but the other days in the display have entries. Seems odd that you have three successive uncredited days. Whatever the cause for the difference, CPDN\'s crediting process assures us that it will be resolved. Eventually. (The full set of accounts is recomputed each time the update is run. [That\'s why participants\' credits move with them if they leave a team.] If it continues, we\'ll contact Tolu.) I hadn\'t seen anything since Friday either, but my account has updated in the last few hours (much later in the day than a normal credit run, which is usually complete by 10:00 am UTC). Time will tell whether this change in shift pattern continues, or whether we go back to morning (UK) credits: but at least this glitch is dealt with. |

Right -- I noticed that as well in the past hour or so. I\'m out here in US West coast time so I typically expect to see the updates early in the morning here. OK -- well it seems that the time when the trickles post may have been changed - I guess we can figure that out later today. No updates from yesterday\'s update here this morning. I thought that they ran the updates very early in the morning in the UK to \'keep out of the way\' of other processes. Then again, perhaps as a result of the server changes over the weekend, the trickles/updates needs a bit of a manual push to process at the moment. This is all supposition of course.... |

The updates have processed - about the same time as yesterday -- so it appears that now they are being processed around 10PM or so UK local time. |

But it appears that the updates and exports to external sites --- now that is a different kettle of heatwaves. The updates have processed - about the same time as yesterday -- so it appears that now they are being processed around 10PM or so UK local time. |

Today\'s credits appeared on my hosts sometime in the last 20 minutes, so a daily update run shortly after 8pm (20:00 UTC)? I also got a bump on BOINCstats on their daily run (about three hours earlier?), so all systems are go, if a bit out of sync with each other. |

For some reason, my computer has not sent any trickles since 10th March, resulting of course in no credits since then (which is why I noticed). Is this a (known) issue? If not, what may have caused it - everything seems to be running OK. I am also running Seti, which is working fine, I have even had some credits from LHC! :O |

There\'s nothing wrong at the project end, so it must be your computer. If everything IS running OK and nothing is being sent, then the trickles will accumulate in the climateprediction.net folder. They will start with: trickle_up_ If there aren\'t any, then the model may have run into problems, one of which is the so-called \"ice world\". There\'s a description of these at the top of this section in which you\'ve posted, and a discussion thread just below where you posted. The main indication is visual; the temperature view will show the default blue globe. Backups: Here |

Looks like your Q9550 is running 4 models. None have returned a trickle since March 10th. My suspicion would be some kind of communication issue. Is the CPU time for each model updating in the tasks panel of BOINC Manager? |
