…and have the following error message at top of accounts page:

Warning: fopen(http://boinc.netsoft-online.com/get_user.php?cpid=81fd59b78bf20f93783d7118d6cea18a) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden in /var/www/boinc/projects/cpdnboinc/html/inc/user.inc on line 66

Could I have caused this and thus be able to correct it?

These errors happen from time to time. They usually mean the server is under heavy load, which is usually caused by scientists extracting model data - nothing to do with us!

If you revisit the page it will probably be fine.

It isn\'t necessarily one of the CPDN servers that is under heavy load.

The URL that it is unhappy about it the one that the cross-project stats are taken from. So the only thing that is affected should be the \"Projects in which you are participating\" list below your account page.

It can happen in all projects, not specific CPDN, as it occurs in the standard BOINC server side scripts.

The BOINC devs should implement a clean error handling for that access of that off-site web page.

Thanks for the extra info. It has settled itself.
