Computer date and time reset inadvertently

I allowed the Climate Prediction model to run with a bad date (2006) after a reset and somehow the due date for one of my models was set to 1901. Boinc now advises me to consider aborting the run as it is way over due. Should I do so or will I get credit no matter what the due date says. Original due date was either 2009 or 2010. |

Credit has nothing to do with the \"due date\" on this project, because it\'s ignored. Whereas with other projects you only get credit when you return a completed WU, here you get credit for each trickle that you return. However, you WILL have a problem with ALL of your other projects, because they WILL go over their due date and be ignored. You can set ALL projects, (in the Projects tab), to No new tasks, and then dump all of the others, stop BOINC, set the computer time to be correct, then restart BOINC. The climate model will happily continue from where you left off, although it will still complain regularly about being past the due date, but just ignore it. Next, start up the other projects again. The bad due date alone will not prevent the model from running to completion and you will get credit as usual. However, BOINC will not download work for other projects if it\'s a single core CPU. If that\'s a problem for you then there are instructions for altering the due date here. |

Thanks to all who responded. Very good advice. I updated Boinc and because the system uses an Intel Q6600 I do not mind having one CPU dedicated to the \"1901\" work unit for Climate Prediction. Other projects were not affected, for whatever reason. The new Boinc immediately downloaded more work (seems to have a better idea of how much work can be completed without stretching deadlines) and truncated the progress graphs so as not to show the erroneous 2006 data.
