....

Hi Stardance

I, like MikeMars, need to know whether my sig displays normal size or not.

The hyperlink under the solid separator line looks \"normal\" size to me -- it\'s text, not a graphic (image). But here is a question: when and why, if ever, would anyone choose to use such a hyperlink?? Somehow I seem to have missed the time when developing \"sigs\" was all the rage. They don\'t have much meaning to me.

That\'s more of a social question, best asked on a social forum.

Here, if people don\'t want to investigate things for themselves, they don\'t have to. And there are a LOT of text areas that are clickable, or have a popup explanation when the mouse cursor is hovered them.

And, in case you don\'t realise it, the blue section to the left is a clickable menu, developed way back at the start of this project, when BOINC was just starting to be talked about. It requires Java.

Yes, I\'ve been using that menu since the first day that I accessed this website. Java is installed, since update alerts appear from time-to-time, but I must confess that I am not aware of using it for any particular purpose. Sysinternals Process Explorer (which I run in place of Task Manager) shows that a Java binary is running resident (jusched.exe). AFAIK, Java is an OOP language that Sun developed, but I\'ve never written a program with it. (Javascript is a misnomer, since it actually has zilch to do with Java.)

But maybe we should return to the subject discussion, if there\'s anything left to be said. ;-)

Hi Stardance

Sorry you\'ve had to wait so long for for the post about upgrading BOINC. There\'s now a link to it in the README about Running the Model. Here it is:
