How do I alter my preferences. I click on settings but there is nothing there but attach to project and proxy server.

Preferences are modified at a project's web site - for CP-boinc:

Menu at left / 'Your Account'

Preferences: 'General View / Edit' & 'climateprediction.net View / Edit'

You alter your preferences from your account page.

There are two sets of preferences. The general preferences are global, and any changes you make here will eventually migrate to all projects you are attached to.

The other set are project specific, and will only apply to that particular project.

After saving your preference changes, you need to open the GUI and click on the "Projects" tab. Right click on the project you just altered, and select "update". Until you update, the changes won't "stick". :)

Even after multiple Updates my changes won't stick. :(

All my prefs point to School: The General prefs has a seperate setting for School; the ClimatePredictions.net Preferences have a seperate setting for School and points to School; I pointed my Computer Summary to use School. All is saved and says School.

But upon updating the CP project in BOINC I get the following:

Yooohoooo, I wasn't setting Home, I was trying to use School !!!
Home is set for Seti.

Carl, can you look into this? I am now unable to easily set my resources share to 75-25 between CP and Seti.

One computer should not have different venues at different projects. The venue should be taken from the last project to update the global settings.

Login, and it will take you to a page to change your preferences.

Press the update button on the BOINC manager
