To Mo V: (Or other who know)

My model is suspended due to the serverproblems, but you wrote that we could upload again.
My model is on november 2080 now, can I finish it?

Hi Steinar

Yes, the server problem is solved, at least temporarily. So we can enable network activity and allow our files to upload. That should include final 2080 files. But if I were you I\'d make a backup first before uploading the finished model, just in case. Make the backup now, before you let the model finish and before you allow network activity.

There\'s an easy method through my sig link. The README about avoiding model crashes, item #1 by Les.

Congratulations on getting to the end!

Steinar, when you\'ve had plenty of time to see this, if you don\'t mind I\'ll move your post and my reply to a thread about current models, not about Classic. Hope that\'s OK.

Sure. I didnt know where to post it so just delete it and/or move it as you want right now.
Thx for quick answer
Steinar

PS before you move it could you tell me which date the model stop.
Have heard both the first and third of december 2080

Edit because everything I said before was wrong. The models finish when they reach the first 6-day checkpoint in Dec 2080 ie at the end of 5 Dec. Here\'s MikeMars\'s screenshot of his first complete model one timestep before the end.

Steinar\'s model completed and uploaded perfectly:

http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=5776940

You could run two models simultaneously on that computer. Or a climate model on one core and a different project on the other. There\'s enough memory for 2 models.

I\'ve moved Steinar\'s posts to here with his agreement. They show that completed models can again be successfully uploaded. And new models downloaded.

Hi Pooh Bear
I\'ll PM Milo, although his \'alarms\' should have sent him an email about it.
Could you register on the php board please, so that we can PM you.

Do please look at the News and Announcements thread - top of this Number crunching section, or through my signature. Please don\'t let these 10-year zip files try to upload until we announce that the problem\'s solved. Attempts to upload will fail and each failed upload puts the file at risk of loss or corruption.

Hey Guys

I just managed to upload my Zip File. My PC is a lot lighter now:) It looks as though the guys in Oxford managed to get a new server working, lets hope it stays available.

Cheers

Yes, the servers seem to have all been on condition green since mid-morning Thursday, but there hasn\'t been an announcement about it so far - I\'m just a bit worried because I have a BBC model due to complete sometime tomorrow.
