I am running Boinc 4.19 for windows, however for some time now when Boinc tries to download some new work it fails and I get the following message:
2007-03-25 20:14:58 - Insufficient work; requesting more.
2007-03-25 20:14:58 - Requesting 24 seconds of work.
2007-03-25 20:14:58 - Sending request to scheduler: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi
2007-03-25 20:15:05 - Scheduler RPC to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded.
2007-03-25 20:15:05 - SCHEDULER_REPLY::parse(): bad first tag <?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"ISO-8859-1\" ?>
2007-03-25 20:15:05 - Can\'t parse scheduler reply
2007-03-25 20:15:05 - Deferring communication with project for 26 minutes and 14 seconds.

etc and it always ends with and impossibility to parse reply (whatever that means...)

Can anybody tell me what is happening and how I can fix it. Bearing in mind that I am no computer genius

CPDN needs a minimum of 5.4.x So 4.19 will not work.

Download new one, since you have one of the oldest ones you need to uninstall, then install the new one over the old one.
