Can the sea levels in the model rise if the ice caps (in the modelled world) start melting?

No. The outlines of continents and islands are fixed.

Hmmm.
I wonder how much effect the increased volume of the oceans would have on global temps and climate as the ice caps melt.

I\'d expect the greater volume to be able to store more heat and CO2 thus slowing down the change. But I\'m no scientist / climateologist so really I have no idea.
