Ive read it saves only once per day for CP.Net

However if Im sharing resources with S@H, how does this effect results saving on CP.net? Especially when it switches projects for processing time.

Does it save before it switches over projects ?
Am I still progressing through the work and saving results ?

Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

CPDN saves once every 144 timesteps or 3 model days. This can be anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours of CPU time depending on the speed of your CPU.

BOINC has two different preemption methods, and you can pick between the two in general preferences. The default one ends the process that is doing the work for the project. The other one does not kill the process, but leaves the process in virtual memory not running.

BOINC 4.05 does not wait for a checkpoint before preempting for a different project. The default will lose all work since the last checkpoint. Until this problem is fixed, I would (and have) changed the preemption behavour to the one that leaves the processes in memory when preempted.
