The URL I used was http://climateprediction.net, and I connected from my standard BOINC client which also runs SETI and Einstein. However, when I bring up the graphics its says \"BBC climate change experiment\". I thought that was a separate but related project?

So, am I part of the BBC spinoff or the original program? Does it make a difference? Is there a difference?

I tried to study before I joined, not sure it helped though :-(

climateprediction.net should be the original progect however this does not really matter as both CPDN and BBC CPDN are currently running the same model.
That being the coupled ocean model.

You can check this by looking at the application column in the Work tab of Boinc Manager. Should be hadcm3lb 5.08 or maybe a later version.

Hope this helps

Not a problem mray.
Always glad to help.

On a side note, I noticed that you are not in a team at the moment. If you decide to join one, have a look at BOINC@Australia.

Its not just for aussies, anyone can join.
The home page is here.

Ah, you Aussies are so sneaky with your signatures. See mray, you can\'t even see peterthomas\' sig - they are using stealth technology. But don\'t look at my sig, and I promise not to look at yours (join a team with a nice picture in the sig. not an invisible one :) g\'day Peterthomas :) (click on the boat)

Hi iXant.
Yes I do have a sig, with a picture about our team, I just choose not to use it every time I try to help another person out. But just for you, I\'ll add my sig to this post.

P.S Someone using your tag, ie iXant, was spoted wandering around the BOINC@Australia forums reciently.

Yes peterthomas, that is absolutely true. I even applied to join up and have a chat and a can of my favourite, the amber nectar, but still waiting. You guys should think about accepting part-time international members and not restrict yourself to full members only. It\'d be nice to hang out with you guys a while. I do recall a very interesting chat you were having about the BBC. But I guess you don\'t want to talk about it.

iXant,

I am sorry to announce that your application to join boincaustralia has been rejected.

Regards,
The boincaustralia Team.

Ah, well, not half as sorry as I am. Just don\'t even think of joining the Springboks forum.

And don\'t even email me no more - your boincaustralia is on my spam list of disappointing emails. Don\'t you worry, I\'ve been rejected by countries far better than Australia. I might even have to drink English beer now.

You just wait until my brother in Perth hears about this.

Starting to get a bit off topic and turn into a \"Cafe\" thread.
