Saw BBC project and without too much thought downloaded (approx 10mb)\"run\". Wasn\'t asked for any personal info. can\'t find where it is ? Realise I probably cant contribute to it without interfering with my current stats, so think I should abort it.Should I take any action or, as I cant find it dont worry about it ?? If the former, it should have tried to install a new version of BOINC Manager with a different default install path. Usually, people who have done this complain that they cannot find their old BOINC projects ;-) As that hasn\'t happened to you, and you don\'t remeber being asked to register, I suspect that somethng failed, possibly because of server overload. Personally, I wouldn\'t worry about it. When you are ready to take part in that experiment it might well be available here. ID: 20319 · Reply Quote

Many thanks Andrew Yes I used the download button on the bbc site. The small download screen popped up I hit \"run\" and the process took about 3-4 minutes to download. Definitely was not asked to register any details. My old cpdn is still working with no apparent probs at present. As you suggest something must have failed !!. Will just carry on regardless. Cheers John if you want to run the BBC project later; attach to bbc.cpdn.org from within your current BOINC installation (as long as it is 5.2.xx) just like you would for any other BOINC project ID: 20617 · Reply Quote
