In the past year I have successfully completed several runs, but since November nothing has worked. Every unit downloaded since then has terminated sooner or later with a client error. In the last few days the situation has got worse; as soon as Boinc tries to transfer results it gives an error -1 and a new unit is downloaded. This is a waste of time.
Can you help?

I share your concern entirely. I have been running the latest CC-client for a while, yet every single run ends with a client error. It now feels waistful, not very motivating to compute for the Climate project.

Please; advice on this problem.

Thanks

The 2 programmers have been concentrating deeply on the 2 new \'phases\', due out Real Soon Now, and haven\'t had much time to delve deeply into the sulphur troubles some people are having, nor to run the long tests needed to verify the results after changes.

But \'soon\' there will be something different, running longer, and using less HD space.

The only advice I can give is patience. And for those who have run out of it, try the other projects. But do look back here over the coming days for news.

Les, I take your advise and abandone ClimatePred for now. I\'ll take my computers of the project over the comming weeks and transfer the clockcycles to other BOINC projects. Pitty!
Send us an email when the runtime environment is stable again.

Good luck

Take my advice, and don\'t detach your computers. I had to merge the two versions of my \"stable\" computer when I returned a while back. I just have it set not to get anymore work.
