I was about to format my hard drive when I suddenly realised I didn\'t know how to save the progress on the sulphur cycle my PC is currently working on.

How do I do this?

In the menu under commands, click Suspend; wait until the model says suspended, then exit BOINC.
Copy entire BOINC folder to a dvd, or several cds. (If you have a second disk which is NOT going to be formated, you can copy the folder to this.)

After the format, copy back the folder, set the files back to RW, and start BOINC.
