Advanced Visualization is currently inoperative. We\'re advised that a new version will be available \"soon\".

Is there any update on this? A couple of days ago I returned to running the main climate model having had a few months out of it. At first I was unable to install the new downloads as it was reporting problems deleting some existing Advanced Visualization (sic) files. Once I deleted these manually all appeared OK, except my machine now insists on running windows install umpteen times a day. The system log tells me it is trying to find Advanced Visualization Files and I assume Installer is trying to automatically fix the problem.

Is this a known problem? Should I be able to donwload and re-install the latest version? Is there anything else I can do short of pulling the plug on the project?

Help!!

The advanced Viz was for slab models which had 3 phases. When sulphur models showed up for a while with 5 phases, it no longer worked.

The latest models work in a different manner, and the advanced viz is totally useless.
As the program was developed by an outside source, and they never came up with a replacement for it for sulphur, it\'s unlikely that there will be one for the TCMs. Which don\'t leave behind any files for later study anyway.

Best to Uninstall it and don\'t let Windows re-install it.

Thanks for that; it takes a bit of delving to understand how it all fits together. It\'s fine when it works, but forensics are required when it starts to play up. The AV didn\'t like being uninstalled, but it succumbed in the end and now all is sweetness and light once again (for a while at least).

Hi there all,
I have been having difficulty with the climate prediction graphic display. It seems to be locked with just a white, partial display of the globe on a dark background. I\'ve reloaded the system and it has updated some of the screen displays, but the spinning globe image is still locked up. Any advice?
Cheers,

I sometimes find that if you give it a few minutes it starts working.

(Incidentally the \'show graphics\' isn\'t the \'advanced visualisation\' that the thread is talking about, that was a separate programme that could be run to show the model\'s climate in detail).

On 14-APR-07 can we assume, that advanced visualisation is stone dead and will never come again?

I\'ll De-sticky the Thread. (It was carried this long only because of the Open U. course participants.)
