Hallo,

today boinc finished my first climateprediction project (report deadline is 11/02/05. Now I see in the boincmgr , that this project is ready to report. When will boinc report the result and delete the lot of files of this project on my disk? Is there anything that I must do?

Thanks for help!

Andreas

The next time BOINC communicates with the CPDN server (a trickle, or you can Update the project), it will report the result status.

As for the files, they are were zipped at end of run and the directory should contain 300 some megabytes. You can keep them on disk, move them to another disk, archive them to CD, or delete them. Occasionally one of the scientists may request some files from a result, but that is rare.

The completion will be reported the next time that BOINC contacts the server.
This should happen on the first trickle of your next model, or immediately if you do an Update.
It doesn\'t happen straight away, so as to give the zips time to get to the server and be processed.

Not all files get deleted from your computer.
See the first post in <a href=\"this thread for more information.

Bother. George beat me to it.
And I can\'t fix missing link beacuse of a bug in the new software, or delete the post.
This is what I meant to post. I hope. :(
