I have noticed that when viewing \'Top Teams\' both the \'recent credit\' and \'total credit\' don\'t match with the same stats when you click on a group and view their team info - the stats are different (and it seems more recent). Is there a time lag with these being updated on the top teams page.

Yes there is. RAC and CS on the user page is immediate. RAC and CS on team pages is updated on a predertermined (by project) schedule.

I believing it's the "BOINC cacheing mechanism" they've put in, our settings are an hour so you could be at most an hour out of date.

Looking at the logs of my stats site, it looks like you are updating the XML files every 4 hours or so. Is this correct? Looks like CPDN and seti@home (when they are up) are both using a 4 hour timer. predictor seems to be a bit more erratic. My update script checks the tables.xml file every 30 minutes for updates so I guess do 'em as often or as sporadically as you want - I won't even notice :)
