Folks,

My P4 - 256 MB RAM laptop keeps downloading data to run but it keeps stoping and exiting after a few % of crunching. When I log into the CP site it says Client error for weeks. I even deattched and reattached but still the same.

Any help appreciated.

It might be worth your while trying out the beta version that Carl made available yesterday, particularly if your laptop has an ATI graphics card.

Do you have problem with other projects? Last year, I had the same problem with my Toshiba laptop and I fixed this issue with a redesign of my CPU heatsink.

Also, take a look at this thread.

No. The others (protein and seti) seem to be running ok.

I don't know what graphics card I have. It's a regular dell machine with no extra frills.

Maybe the problem is too little memory related.

if your laptop has ATI graphics card that could be the problem, I have moved the hadsm3beta to the production (regular) website, so you can try reattaching and get the hadsm3 v.4.13 which is OK for ATI graphics (and uses a recent boinc library so possibly corrects other problems).
