I\'ve been seeing this for some time on linux.

Phase 1 goes to 100%, then phase 2 starts at 0% and goes to 100%, then phase 3 starts at 0% and goes to 100%.

Towards the end of phase 1, Boinc wants to download a new WU (as boinc thinks is almost 100% done).

Is there a fix in the works? This seems to happen with 4.19 or above, and appears to be a cruncher issue and not a cc issue.

Both are a BOINC problem in versions above 4.25
There have been so many new versions to fix different problems that I've lost track of whether or not it's been fixed.
Check the Berekely site.

As I said, it happens with the boinc cc 4.19. The "extra WU" thing is different that the bug in CC 4.43, as with this bug, it's when phase I is 95+ some precent complete, and seems unique to cruncher 4.13 and Linux.

Windows CC 4.45 and cruncher 4.12 doesn't exhibit this problem. Phase III is really interesting in that when it starts, the completion time is about two decades away!

EXTRA WORK UNIT WORKAROUND - BOINC 4.45
In Projects view, select climateprediction.net then hit the "No More Work" button.
After your work unit has completed all three stages, hit Allow New Work, then Update. Once the new work unit is running, hit No More Work again.

That is too hard to convey to most people, so most new users will soon have downloaded an extra work unit.

My Boinc 4.45 also downloaded a new work unit after only one week running Phase 1 of 4.12 on a P4 1.8GHz with XP SP2. I think it happened after suspending both cpdn and boinc then restarting. I cant remember the restart order, maybe I even hit Update before starting boinc and cpdn.
