Hi!

Boinc is downloading work but always terminates it before end of time. Boinc report insufficient work (see the message lines scrolling down). Project automatically contact the server but is deferring contact. After the procedures underlying the message lines I'm posting here my Eudora mail programm does not start (only after reboot the system). #
This problem returned now two times. Something is going wrong but I have no idea.

Regards
Nils

Your installation of the Climate Model is almost immediately crashing the models. After 2 downloads in one day with error results returned the server halts sending new models to the computer so that the PC doesn't chew through hundreds of models in one day and the operator can try and rectify the problem

Can you give us some details on the specs of your PC and are you overclocking. Climate Prediction places a high demand on PCs and if there is any minor problems with the memory, CPU, harddrives, etc., it usually manages to find them and crash.

Check out this thread for some ideas on what and how to check your PC. Also, defrag the Harddrive without boinc running, use "Suspend" then "Exit"

Hello again,

Have carried out the mem test and the super-pi test. There were no errors. Think it is problem with windows 2000 addressing the memory, because after the BOINC error occurred I had distortions in the windows functionalty too (misfunction in the drop down box for shutting down the PC, Eudora failed in starting). However found no errors in the W2000 event manager or system manager.) Have changed some options in my preferences. Let's hope this works.

Best regards
Nils
