Hi, I have 4 computers running boinc, and offcourse CP, but when I recently tried to get it running on my laptop I got this error message: "Invalid or missing authenticator. Visit the project's website to get an authenticator." I did the same as usual, correct key and everything, but it never uploads any trickles. I've done 12% of this WU allready. Anyone can help me out here? thx

The authenticator is the long alpha/numeric string that was in the email you received on starting.
It appears near the top of the file: Account_climateprediction.net in the BOINC folder.

Open the email, and then also open the file. (Double-click).
Now compare the 2 stings.
If the file is incorrect, copy it somewhere else, JUST IN CASE! then edit the file with notepad.
Perhaps copy-and-paste from the email if the errors are a lot. But it may just be a blank at one end.

When you're finished, do an Update. If any thing goes wrong, COPY back the saved copy, and ask for more help.
(Leave the saved copy there for now; you may still need to edit.)
