My work units tend to get about 80% of the way through and then download a new one and start over. After routing through the results page I found this error message (the HTML tag were part of the message, I did not add them):

4.19
The system cannot find the path specified. (0x3) - exit code 3 (0x3)

Is there any way I can find out what path it is looking for? The only thing I can think of could be that I have BOINC installed on my E: drive, and it may be defaulting to C: for some path.

I have searched my entire registry and any paths referenced by BOINC entries already exist. Any ideas?

Hi, Randy,

Welcome to the Forum.

I can't answer your question but can confirm that a friend runs her Models in D-drive, a Partition dedicated to CPDN. She's completed several CPDNboinc models without problem. (Her machine is P4 3.0, WinXP-SP2.)

You may be able to make a back-up and then go through an uninstall/re-install process to see if that fixes something hidden. (It's a long-shot -- and please wait until someone more experienced with M$ OS' gives you suggestions. [It's been discussed before but I obviously used the wrong search terms and didn't find it.])

Sorry I can't help more.

Thanks Astro.

I may try re-installing on C:, but I don't like running anything on that partition other than Windoze if at all possible. It would help if errors were a little more prominently displayed somewhere. Oh, like maybe in the messages window?? I only discovered the errors when looking through my work units.

I'm sure an answer is at hand. These developers don't appear to be slouches when it comes to software development.

Thanks for the help

Randy
