When I've changed my preferences at the web and saved them, I get the message:
"Your preferences have been updated. They will take effect when your computer communicates with climateprediction.net or you issue the "Update" command from the BOINC client."

I could'nt fint the "update" command in the boinc client (the window that pops up when I click the tray icon). Therefore I have 2 questions:

1. How do I issue the "Update" command?

2. If I don't issue the "Update" command, approximately how long does it take until my computer communicates with with climateprediction.net and the preferences are updated.

Hello and welcome Fetjocke,
Rightclick in the 'projects' tab on the project and chose 'update' or 'update (retry now...)', depending what happened with last update.

A good Manual for all Boinc proojects is Paul d. Bucks place:

Thanx! The update was committed successfully! (It wasn't really intuitive how to find the "update" =)
