I seem to have registred my computer twice

they are 95992 (which isn' doing anything) and 102101, which is.

Is it necessary for me to merge them back into one (102101?).

I have tried but the page where you are supposed to select the computers to merge doesn't have any entries

Your 2 computers have different CPU names, they will not be mergable.

Hello and welcome!

It should work this way: Go to your newer <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/show_host_detail.php?hostid=102101">puter in tyour account.</a>
There should be a link at the bottom of the 'Computer Information' stuff that says: 'merge this computer'.
You get a selection of similar computers on your account (which in your caes should be quite small;-).
Select the other and click on [Merge hosts].

They have to be really the same puters, at least to the system here, but it looks as if on your <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/hosts_user.php?userid=44969">list.</a>

<b>edit:</b>
Sorry, just read Johns post, and had a closer look. He seems to be right.
Although it's obviously the same puter, Boinc named it in different ways. So now you can brag about your second machine with your pals;-)

I'm confused, aren't both computers called "tim-j5x20he64ai"?

One CPU, though, is wrongly described as a Pentium. That is enough to stop the software from merging them.

Oh OK, thanks very much for your help

I hope someone manages to run the work unit associated with 95992 since I can't
