You must be either running the clasic version or running under a different account. The account you posted with here has not even been assigned work yet. Nor have any computers comunicated with the server.

Check that you haven't disabled the client network connection on the file menu.
Are you running a personal firewall, by any chance.

Alistair

If you DO have access disabled, you should have accumulated a large number of
trickles in folder: Program Files / BOINC / projects / climateprediction.net
They will be labeled: trickle_up_(name-of wu), and have a file size of 1k.

BOINC communicates through the firewall on port 80, if you haven't come across
this in another thread.

You seem to have 2 CPDN/BOINC accounts.
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/show_user.php?userid=25646
http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/show_user.php?userid=17000

Both of those accounts have the same username and similar personal information. The userid=17000 on is the one you are posting with here. The userid=25646 on has 1 computer (2.4ghz p4) with 2 phase 3 models with trickles in the past 24 hours.

Check your authenticator in the account_climateprediction.net.xml file and see which of these accounts it matches.

I have the same problem as described above. I have BOINC installed on 1 machine at work and 2 at home. None of which are uploading their done work. A colleague also has BOINC on his machine on the same network at work and he is not experiencing this problem. The packets of data are sat there in the dataout folders, waiting to be uploaded.

Any ideas?

1. In the BOINC window go to the projects tabs and choose update. See what message you get in the messages tab.

2. Firewalls do not necessarily tell you when they block something. In WinXP SP2 you can choose Windows Firewall in Control Panel and select the exception tab. Other OS and versions will be different and there are other firewall progams especially on a network. You may have to do a bit of ferreting to locate the problem.

Thanks for the reply. I have Windows Firewall switched off at work and have the same network environment as my colleague. I tried the update option - these are the messages I received in reply:

climateprediction.net - 2005-01-28 12:56:32 - Sending request to scheduler: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi
climateprediction.net - 2005-01-28 12:56:35 - Scheduler RPC to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded

BOINC tells me it has completed 1.36% of the package. Could it be that I simply haven't completed enough of for any trickles to be uploaded?

Note the succeeded above.

You do now have a trickle (click on your user name to see record of it)

72 Trickles per model so that is about 1.39% of a model.
